Hey there! I’m Reynie! Thanks for stopping by to share with me today!
Let’s see… what can I tell you about me? In a nutshell: I’m a child of God always learning more about what that means. I’m a wife to Billy and a mother to my sweet girl, Kimmie, and my little man, Will. I work full time as a Program Manager managing training technology for the world’s largest airline and I love what I do! I’m constantly trying to figure out what work-life balance means so that I can be super mom and do it all. (exhausting!)
I do a lot of volunteer work with the children’s programs at my church and also with my children’s schools. I’m actively involved in their sports activities and have coached everything from cheerleading to t-ball. And with all of that, I think it is important that young children have a considerable amount of down time so I’m also chief-mandator of “pajama day”!
I’m a creative person and look for any outlet to exercise that blessing. I love crafting, cooking, baking, DIY… you name it. Of course, time and money are always my constraints on “me” time!
A few of the things I love about this life:
- The glee I feel while creating in my kitchen
- Hearing a child use manners
- Hearing my pastor ask for an “Amen, church?”
- A hot and comforting soup on a cold winter’s day
- When everything has a place and is in its place
- The traditional look of pearls, an up-do, and Toast-of-New York lipstick
- That awesome find at a yard sale that completes a “what do I do here?” empty space
- The excitement of college football season (Go NOLES!)
- A comfortable and filling Sunday dinner after a snuggly Sunday afternoon nap
- A glass of red wine on my front porch rocking chair at sunset
- A good country music song that makes you feel something
- Watching my children sleep… I can do this for hours
- Hearing my cat purr
- Brightly colored Easter eggs hiding in the grass
- Enjoying a cold beer with my hot husband on PCB beach
- Newly colored hair that has no grays
- A cold, icy, salt-rimmed margarita with spicy chips-n-salsa
- Dew on the first flowers of spring
- Corn day on our farm
- A ridiculously tall hand-cut Christmas tree
- The simple thrill of saving a few coins by using coupons at the grocery store
- Homemade thin crust pizza with extra sauce and lots of veggies
There is so much about this life I love! God has truly found favor on me and I try to say “thank you” by noticing the little blessings that surround me each day!

Why I blog:
I’ve started this blog as a creative outlet and to document the various blessings in my life. On a hard day, it’s nice to look back and reminisce on the good stuff!I think a blog should mirror the person who is on the other side of the keyboard. If I can successfully recreate myself here then you’ll read a range of different topics—everything from family, faith, crafts, food, travel, and the occasional overly dramatic moment! Because that’s who I am.
I selfishly hope that this blog will provide me gratification as I express myself in those ways, but I also hope for you, my new friends and for my family, that you’ll enjoy reading along as my life unfolds!
